Positive cooperation with Varde Municipality
In this issue, you can join Varde Municipality, where a working group, in collaboration with Pallas, is adapting their Smart Center solution to also include a module for "In Safe Hands" (Braden). In addition, Mikkel Møller, area manager at Pallas, tells more about the In Safe Hands module and how healthcare has been digitalized.

Varde Municipality and Pallas collaborate on "In Safe Hands" (Braden)
In Varde Municipality, they have set up a working group that, together with Pallas Informatik, is expanding the Smart Center IT solution with a digitalized version of "In Safe Hands" and, among other things, the pressure sore board, so that the IT system fits their needs, instead of the employees having to adapt to an IT system.
According to Marianne Nielsen, who is a district nurse in Varde Municipality, it has been a positive experience: “I think it has been challenging in many ways – in a good way. It has generally been positive that you play the technical solutions together with the healthcare – and especially that you think about the end user and that it must be usable. It has given me so much meaning to be a part of it.”
By adapting Pallas' IT solutions to suit the needs of nurses and SOSU assistants when working with citizens, Varde Municipality has not only succeeded in obtaining a solution that is easy to use, but also an IT system that saves time: "It has made our documentation, overview and reporting more flexible in terms of the fact that it communicates with our medical record system (Varde Municipality uses Nexus from KMD), and it is located in the Smart Center. That is really what we have won," says Marianne Nielsen from Varde Municipality.

"In Safe Hands" and the pressure sore kit
Pallas has created an additional module for Smart Center for the municipalities that are part of the In Safe Hands improvement program. “Our solution for In Safe Hands provides a clear method for users to implement the systematic work of ensuring safe care and treatment for residents in elderly care,” says Mikkel Møller, area manager at Pallas.
“We have done this,” explains Mikkel, “by taking the professional knowledge and incorporating it into our digital solutions. Take, for example, our pressure ulcer package for In Safe Hands – there we have created a character in our app where the user can press on the place on the body where the citizen has a pressure ulcer and give the wound a Braden score. The report appears immediately in the rest of the system, i.e. on overview boards and in other users’ apps, as well as in the municipality’s care system.”
Pallas also offers to adapt the solution to specific needs, in the same way as Varde Municipality (described above).
